Paging Sgt. Tyler and other heroes: Boston Marathon victims want to thank you
Wed Apr 17, 2013
I admire all who stepped in and helped. I also understand that all who stepped in don't regard themselves as heroes - they just did what needed to be done and don't want to be labeled as HEROES. Which of course makes them heroes.
Feline fanciers uncover cat's secret second life, thanks to GPS and science
Fri Apr 12, 2013
All my cats have been indoor/outdoor cats - and all have lived anywhere from 9 to 19+ yrs (I currently have a 19+ yr old and a 12 yr old.) They have a cat door and they go in and out as they please. I have a fenced yard to keep dogs out, and I never live on busy streets. I've never lost a cat to dog …
Confessions of an Easter Bunny: Stories from inside the suit
Sat Mar 23, 2013
"Seeing a child's face light up with joy is one of the greatest things in the world.” That says it all. :) I'm going thru menopause, but I'd endure Hot Flashes to see a child's face light up. :) It;s only for a few hours... and the reward... Worth It! Jackie
Six tanks now said to be leaking at contaminated Hanford nuclear site
Fri Feb 22, 2013
Not reading all the above comments, let me just say: Hanford gave it's all to end WWII. It's only fitting that the other 49 states help store the waste as needed. It's ridiculous that Hanford helped create the Bomb, yet, not any of the United States will help Hanford when it comes to storing the was …

Fri Feb 15, 2013
Just saying, I get the flu short every year. Haven't ever had the flu. Also any exposure to colds significantly reduced. Just runny nose and slight cough 24 hrs and it's gone. That's just me. Jackie

Early spring? The groundhog says...
Sat Feb 2, 2013
In Washington we trust our local Groundhogs. What does a groundhog in Pennsylvania have to do with Washington? We didn't see a shadow in our neck of the woods. :)
Judge postpones Texas woman's execution
Tue Jan 29, 2013
This is one of the rare cases I really believe the Death sentence is justified and I was shocked to see it postponed. She is evil. She killed trusting, elderly women for what? Her drug addiction? What is the point of delaying her execution? She certainly didn't give her victims any choices to live a …
When to go to the ER with the flu
Fri Jan 18, 2013
Most people's basal body temp is lower than 98.6. I take numerous temps daily as a Red Cross health historian. My own temp is 97.9. It's a good idea to take family temperatures on a regular basis - when they're NOT sick. Then you'll have a baseline for what's normal - and what's not.

Jayden, Jasper or Jumanji: What your child's name says about you
Sometimes.
Should she have let her son meet his dying dad?
Yes. She did the right thing. The risk was well worth the reward in this case.
Two wrongs never make a right. I'm glad the mom overcame her hurt.
